David Gulland studied glass design and engraving at the newly established glass department at Edinburgh College of Art in the 1950s. He was taught there by Helen Monro Turner and was a contemporary of Alison Geissler in the department. He is best known for his fine copper wheel engravings, and his work can be found in most British public collections of glass.
