Contemporary Swedish Designed Blown and Cast Glass
for Function, Decoration and Architecture

Elin creates unique, handcrafted sculptural lighting and architectural glass for individual and corporate clients on commission.

After receiving a Masters Degree in Design and Applied Arts from Edinburgh College of Art in 2005, Elin set up her own business - Elin Isaksson Glass - in 2006 by winning bespoke architectural commissions for domestic and public interiors. Her sculptural glass can be found in galleries around the UK.

Elin has 12 years' experience of working with Scandinavian and European glass design and techniques. She produces unique handcrafted work which brings architectural glass together with blown sculpture and lighting. At present, she works in three different techniques - glassblowing, hot casting, and kiln work. "For me, working with hot glass is a privilege; I enjoy the quick decision-making process and the fluid temperament of the material. I take my inspiration from the play of light, texture and movement in nature. Forms bend and twist organically. The objects do not necessarily represent a descriptive picture of nature, but that of the elastic, tactile abstraction it represents."
