Badge details: The insert is very detailed and crisp, moulded from a Salvation Army badge, with a holy cross, an S for salvation and a sword in the centre, surrounded by the words 'Blood and Fire', with a crown above and stylised sun's rays. The material is off white in colour, appearing gold where it is under trapped air. The multi-coloured spatter ground is very thin, with clear spaces. Size of frit varies from large chunks to dust.
Size: 77 mm (3") diameter, 46 mm (17/8") high.
Metal (glass tint): - Slight blue grey tinge to glass.
UV longwave - Little response - suggestion of pale yellow-green.
UV shortwave - Distinct dusky blue.
Specific Gravity - 2.41.
Notes: The pontil protrudes, has a few radial lines around it, and has been hollow ground and polished .
