Etched image of the cottage in Kirriemuir that was the inspiration for J. M. Barries book "A Window in Thrums" published in 1889. The souvenir was made for the owner of the house, a coal merchant named A. McPherson. The design was registered in 1894 with the number 224994. It is also marked "Made in Sweden". Transfers would have been used to print the resist onto the glass which was then acid-etched. 92mm (approx 3¾") high UNKNOWN MAKER or Decorator ©2008 F Andrews |
