Thistledown These beautiful pieces echo the shape and colours of Scotland's national emblem - the thistle. Legend says that when the Danes invaded Scotland and were about to mount a surprise night attack, a Dane stepped on a thistle with his naked foot. The Scots were awakened by his cries and were able to defend themselves. The thistle has been Scotland's emblem ever since.
