Proskills is pleased to announce the successful launch of the Scottish Construction Skills Action Plan. The event took place on Friday 07 March in Glasgow and was attended by companies such as Ennstone Thistle Ltd, Quarry Products Association, British Aggregates, Ardagh Glass and Cemex but, to mention a few. The aim of event was to raise awareness of the £1.2m available for training support to companies, within the Building Products, Coatings, Extractives and Mineral Processing and Glass and Glazing industries in the Scottish Enterprise area of Scotland. |
|
The event consisted of presentations, a question and answer session, a buffet lunch and networking opportunity. Amongst the speakers was Max Colligan from Hanson who gave an insightful presentation on how Hanson has developed their staff to their full potential through training and the benefits of doing this to the company. Alan Hearsum from Glass Training Limited commented that “this is a worthwhile event showing how Proskills is looking to support its industries”. Proskills has secured the resources not only to fund training up to a possible 50% but, you will be provided with a consultant who will listen to your individual needs, help identify possible training solutions and develop your company training plan. If you were unable to attend the launch then you can still take advantage of this opportunity to ‘up skill’ your employees.
