THE INTERNATIONAL GLASS CONFERENCE IN A NUTSHELL

1. It is being held in Edinburgh College of Art 1-4 October.
2. It is the biggest conference of its kind ever to be held in the UK.
3. It has taken two years to plan.
4. It is being held to celebrate the 400th anniversary of glass making in Scotland.
5. It includes demonstrations of glass making techniques never seen before in Scotland.
6. It will solve the mystery of who engraved the Jacobite and Amen glasses.
7. Speakers are coming from Scotland, England and the USA, with delegates coming from Europe, USA, Australia and New Zealand.
8. Glass curators from Aberdeen., Glasgow, Perth, the United States will be attending....but none from the fair city of Edinburgh.
9. EVERYONE involved has given their time for free which means it is only £49 for all three days, featuring more than 30 speakers and demonstrations.
10. It has all been done without any Scottish or UK government support.
